Abstract: China's large population and rapid economic development lead to large recent increase in CO2 emissions, which is expected to continue in the next few decades. The conflict of economic development and environment protection poses one of the greatest challenges facing China and the world. However, climate change also provides opportunities for China to lead to a comprehensive sustainable pathway through renewable energy development, reforestation and construction of high-energy-efficiency infrastructure.
